Mafune Farms in Aizu-Misato Town dates back 14 generations. The youngest of the Mafune farming family, Shigetaka Mafune, uses compost made from coffee grounds. A real coffee-nut, Mafune utilizes coffee grounds that would otherwise be thrown away, aiming for a circular agricultural practice with the brand Coffee Vege. A fresh cup of coffee to accompany the view of Aizu-Misato’s gorgeous landscape is a one-of-a-kind experience. Chef Inoue (Hashiyada Shoten) – who was full of surprises during his last FoodCamp – will take care of the lunch. The location for this edition is very special indeed: the Mongolian ger-tents at Seseragi Park camp site in Aizu-Misato. Equipped with air-conditioning, this will be an extraordinary glamping-style edition of FoodCamp!
